 Ingredients for Jowar Kandhi:

Jowar flour – 500 gms

Green garlic – 10 gms

Ginger chilly paste- 2 tsps

Buttermilk – 2 cup

Salt according to taste

Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method: Mix the jowar flour with buttermilk in a vessel. Cover the vessel and keep it aside for 20 minutes. Now heat water in another vessel and keep a ring in it to act like a stand. Grease a plate with oil. Now add green garlic, ginger chilly paste, salt and finely chopped coriander leaves to the jowar mixture. Pour the mixture into the plate and level it. Place this plate on top of the stand. Cover the vessel and let it steam for 15 minutes. After the Kandhi is cooled, cut them in pieces and serve hot with garlic chutney or oil.
