Cheel leaves Kadhi

 Ingredients:

Yellow corn flour: 25 grams

Buttermilk: 2 cups

Cheel leaves – 250 grams

Green Chillies- 5 (ground to a paste)

Curry Leaves – few

Ginger paste – half a tsp

Salt acc to taste

Coriander leaves for garnishing

For the tempering:

Oil – 2 stp

Turmeric powder – 1 stp

Mustard seeds- 1 tsp

Ginger garlic paste

Method:

Chop the Cheel leaves finely and wash them well under running water. In a vessel boil the Cheel leaves in 2 glasses of water to cook it. Now in another vessel mix the corn flour and buttermilk. Take a vessel, preferably a clay pot and heat oil in it. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, turmeric powder and ginger-garlic paste to this. Now add the buttermilk mixture and mix the boiled Cheel leaves to the buttermilk. Bring it to a boil and serve it in a clay pot with  makai rotla (maize flour bread).
