Jowar (Sorghum) Chocolate Pudding

Jowar (Sorghum – 200gms

Milk – 750 ml

Ghee – 100 gms

Dates – 100 gms

Chocolate syrup – 100 ml

Roasted peanuts

Coarsely ground almonds



Take a ghee in a pan. Roast the jowar in the ghee. Once its roasted, let it cool down. Now crush the jowar to make a coarse powder. In a separate vessel boil some milk. Add the crushed jowar and dates to the milk and cook till the mixture thickens. Now add the chocolate syrup and put off the gas.

Now in a bowl first add some chocolate syrup. Add the jowar mixture. Now garnish with chocolate syrup, roasted peanuts, coarsely ground almonds. You may also garnish with chocolate sprinkles. Refrigerate before serving.

Medicinal/Nutritive value:

Jowar is high in fibre content. It cools down the body and relieves any digestive troubles. Consuming jowar helps reduce body fat.
