Multigrain Choco Strawberry Cake

Bajri (pearl millet) flour – 100 gms

Ragi (Finger millet) flour – 100 gms

Jav (Barley) flour – 100 gms

Cocoa powder- as per taste

Baking Soda – ½ tsp

Baking powder- ½ tsp

Condensed milk – 120 gms

Butter – 25 gms

Whipped Cream


Mix all the flours well, add baking soda, baking powder and cocoa powder. Now sieve these dry ingredients well at least 2 to 3 times. In a separate vessel mix butter and condensed milk well. Now add the dry ingredients mixture to the condensed milk mixture. Add milk if necessary to form batter like consistency. Now place some sand in a cooker and place a ring over it. Now grease a cake mould with oil/ghee and put the batter in it. Once the sand and the cooker is heated well place the cake mould inside it and let it bake for at least 20 minutes. Once the cake is completely cooled down decorate it with whipped cream and any fresh fruits like pineapple or strawberry.

Medicinal/Nutritive value:

Bajri and Jav are high in fibre content and help in digestion. Raagi is high in calcium content.
