Ingredients:
Ragi (Finger Millet) – 1 cup
Ghee – 1 tsp
Milk – 1 cup
Jaggery
Elaichi (Cardamom) powder
Almond slivers
Method:
Soak 1 cup whole Ragi (Finger millet) in water for 10 to 12 hours. After soaking for stipulated time boil the ragi. Crush the boiled ragi using a mixer grinder. In a kadai, take ghee, add the ragi and saute for about a minute. Now add the milk and let it boil. Once the mixture starts thickening add jaggery as per taste. After adding jaggery let the mixture thicken again. Put off the gas stove. Add the elaichi (cardamom) powder. Garnish with almond slivers. This Sheera may be served hot or cold.
