Ingredients:
Kalthi – 1 cup
Elephant’s foot-yam – 750 gms
Curry leaves – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves – ½ cup
Mint leaves – ¼ cup
Oil – 1 cup
Turmeric powder
Red chilly powder
Ginger chilly paste
Gram (Chana) flour – 2 tsp
Rice flour – 2 tsp
For Dry masala:
Cumin – 1 tsp
Coriander seeds – 1&1/4 tsp
Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
Dried Red chillies – 5
Black salt – ½ tsp
Pepper – 8
Cloves – 4
Garlic cloves – 5
Method:
Wash and clean the horse gram. Keep it soaked for sometime. Boil the elephant’s foot-yam. Now dry roast all the dry masalas and powder it. Now take oil in a pan and saute the ginger-green chilly paste. Now roast the gram flour too in the same oil. Add green chillies, curry leaves, mint leaves, coriander leaves and salt. Add the boiled elephant’s foot-yam and mix it well. Now add the rice flour. Mix well and made kebabs. Now deep fry or shallow fry the kebabs as per your wish.
Serve the kebabs with mint chutney and salad.
