Idli batter – 500 gms
Ragi (finger millet) flour – 250 gms
Pour some oil into the bamboo sticks. Add ragi flour to the idli batter, salt, pepper powder and soda – bi- cabronate. Pour the idli batter into the bamboo sticks and seal the bamboo sticks from both ends. Steam them in the idli cooker for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove the idlis from the bamboo sticks.
Serve the idlis with hot sambar and coconut chutney.
