Ingredients of Radish pods (Mogri) Paratha:

Mogri

Green garlic

Green chillies

Wheat flour

Sorghum (Jowar) flour

Gram (Chana Dal) flour

Asafoetida (Hing)

Turmeric Powder

Red chilly powder

Carrom seeds (Ajwain)

Oil

Salt – as per taste

Method:

Wash and finely chop the Mogri. Make a paste from the green chillies and garlic. Now in a vessel mix all the flours and add a little oil. Mix them well. Now add the chopped Mogri to the flours mixture. Add the chilly garlic paste. Add the rest of the masalas and knead a paratha dough using water as needed. Divide dough into equal proportions, roll each one out and make the parathas.

Medicinal/Nutritive value:

Radish Pods, called mogri in Gujarati helps reduce fat in the body. It has high calcium content too.

Curds (Dahi)

Salt – as per taste

Pepper powder

Method:

Beat the curds to make it smooth. Now add all the chopped leaves, salt, sugar and pepper powder. Mix well and refrigerate before serving.

Medicinal/Nutritive value:

Cheel leaves are full of fibre. They have high vitamin A and C content hence are good for eyesight.

Tulsi leaves are good for cough and cold. They are effective in swelling, worms and nausea.
