Ragi (Finger Millet) – 100 gms

Bajri (Pearl millet) – 100 gms

Jowar (Sorghum) – 100 gms

Kalthi (Horse gram) – 100 gms

Ginger – Green chilly paste – 1 to 3 tsp

Sugar (optional) – 2 tsp

Turmeric powder- ½ tsp

Coriander cumin powder – ½ tsp

Lemon – 1

Til (sesame seeds) – 1 to 2 tsp

Ragi flour – as required

Bajri flour – as required

Salt – as per taste


Soak all the grains overnight and let them sprout. Now crush all the sprouts. Add ginger- green chilly paste to the crushed sprouts. Now add salt, turmeric powder, coriander cumin powder, lemon juice, Til and mix well. Now add Ragi flour to this mixture as required to make round balls to form patties. Now heat some oil in a kadai. Coat the patties with Bajri flour. Now deep fry the patties in oil. Serve hot with green chutney.
