Sugar Free Laddoos made from shells of Chestnuts, Dates and Coconut

 Ingredients:

Boiled water chestnut – 2

Dates – 7

Powder of Coconut Shell – 100 gms

Milk – 500 ml

Fresh grated coconut- 2 tspn

Almonds – 2

Walnut – 1

Cashewnuts – 2

Cardamom – 2

Saffron strands – 2

Method:

Remove the shells of water chestnut and boil it. Now remove fibres from the coconut shell and break it into pieces. Grind these pieces in a mixture and then pass it through a sieve to get a powder. Wash the dates well and remove the seeds. Let the milk boil for 10 minutes. Thereafter add coconut shell powder to the milk. Crush the boiled water chestnut and add it to the milk too. Crush the dry fruits and add them to the boiling milk too. When the mixture starts thickening, add the grated fresh coconut and saffron strands. Now check if you can form laddoos from this mixture or let it cook for some more time. When cooked well enough to form laddoos, add cardamom powder and form laddoos.

These ladoos are healthy as they do not contain any added sugar.

Besides proteins, dates contain Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5 and Vitamin C. It helps strengthen your nervous system and improves bone health and it is high in iron content.

Coconut – It contains high amount of carbohydrates and also has copper and iron. It contains minerals like potassium and calcium. It is an antioxidant and also helps to control blood pressure.
